3 of My Best Purchases

Updated: Dec 8, 2020

The following is a list of three purchases that I have made relatively recently and am so happy to have.

1. Kayla Itsines BBG Ebook

Maintaining a healthy healthy workout routine can be difficult at times but this has made it so much easier
  • Great for timing workouts

  • Each interval is constructed to take you approximately 7 minutes to complete and 7x4 (rounds) = 28 minutes. This is perfect for carving out part of my day and being able to plan around it.

  • Includes Pre-training if you’re coming off an injury, just starting a serious workout routine, or are pregnant, there are four weeks worth of pre training to easy you into the BBG full 12 week workout.

  • On top of there being 16 weeks total, you can repeat these as many times as you want so you’ll always have workouts. Or, if you’ve completed these and want even more of a challenge she has a BBG 2.0 guide as well!

  • Great for being on the go

  • I travel a lot and even though the farther you get the more weights/ equipment is included you can still use the workouts for bodyweight exercises when you don’t have a gym readily available.

  • There’s an app

  • Since I got the BBG ebook a while ago before the application was out, I just use my online login and screenshot my workouts for the week but her Sweat with Kayla app has gotten amazing reviews as well.

  • Price: $87.00 (This may seem like a lot buuutttt it is 16 weeks of workouts + her HELP guide which includes a 14 days meal plan + cooking tips + a bunch of other incredibly useful information.)

2. Lush Shampoo Bar

Guys, I cannot brag about these bars enough, they are honestly one of my favorite things hands-down for these top reasons:
  • SAVES PLASTIC

  • We may not think about it as much because we hang onto shampoo bottles much longer than we do water bottles or plastic straws, but at the end of the day, they’re still plastic. Obviously I put them in the recycle and hope they go there but it’s never guaranteed. Now I don’t have to worry! Earth for the win!

  • Travel Friendly

  • Again, it can get really annoying whenever I travel and have to worry about the 100mL rule for planes, plus the weight of my suitcases, plus weather or not my travel-sized bottles are going to last me (not talking your quick hotel visit here). You can buy the extra tin can to carry it around and voila! No fuss no muss - they’re lightweight and small.

  • So many different scents for different hair needs!

  • I personally buy their “Seanik” one which is for oily hair and volume but they have 13 other kinds of bars for shampoo and 3 for conditioning. Seriously go take a look.

  • Price: ~$12.00

3. Magnetic Eyelashes

This may seem extra, but what it really does is save me extra time and extra work
  • I decided to get these because I was tired of wearing out my eyelashes. I have to look awake and professional for work almost every day and using mascara day in and day out can really whittle them down and make my eyes sore. And because they’re magnetic, they’re reusable so I’m not peeling off any glue or stray fake lashes at the end of the day and then going to buy another pack. So they’re comfortable and save me money.

  • Great for dramatic and natural looks

  • Most of the time I want a very natural look but after a couple months or even weeks of just wearing mascara all the time my lashes get worn down. So if I’m trying to give them a break, I just throw these on. The first couple of times it may take a few minutes to get them on just right but after a while you can throw them on just like a pair of shoes and head out the door. Quick and easy.

  • Reusable

  • Once again: saves me money! Always a win. But seriously, they’re a one-time purchase that you don’t need to keep buying because they won’t go bad.

  • Price: ~$15.00
